Using Security Checkup to add security to your Facebook account
You can use Security Checkup to review and add more security to your account.
Start Security Checkup
- Tap
Menu in the top right of Facebook.
- Tap Settings & privacy, then tap Settings.
- Tap Accounts Center, then tap Password and security.
- Tap Security Checkup.
How Security Checkup helps
- Security Checkup reviews your Facebook account and recommends security actions like updating your password, or enabling two-factor authentication and login alerts.
- Get alerts when someone tries logging into your account from an unrecognized computer or mobile device.
- Learn how to protect your password.
- Enable two-factor authentication, an optional feature that adds more security to your Facebook account.
Note: This feature is currently available to people logged into Facebook on a computer or the latest version of the Facebook for Android or Facebook for iOS app.
