Possible issues creating a Facebook account with your email
There are a few reasons you may be having trouble creating a Facebook account with your email address. If you follow these steps and are still having trouble, remember that you can try creating your Facebook account with a mobile phone number instead of an email.
If you see a message that there's an existing Facebook account associated with your email, but you forgot your password, you can request a new password. Learn more about resetting your password.
If you're having issues logging in, then you can learn what to do if you can't login to your account.
There's an existing Facebook account associated with your email
You can't create a new Facebook account with an email address already tied to an existing account. Make sure you entered your email address correctly.
If you share an email address with someone and they have a Facebook account tied to that email, you can create an email account for free with Yahoo! or Gmail.
Email entered incorrectly
If you see a message that your email is invalid, make sure you entered your email correctly.
Confirmation email errors
If you see an error when you click the link from the confirmation email, try logging in with the email you created the account with.
If you can't log in, copy the link from your confirmation email and paste it into your browser. Learn what to do if you didn't get the confirmation email.
Note: It's against our Community Standards to maintain more than one personal account. If you try to sign up for a new Facebook account with the same, or similar, email and password as an account you’ve already created, you will be logged into your existing account.
